Green Oak Ranch began operations in 1950, originally under the auspices of the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles. Since then, thousands of adults and children have enjoyed our unique 142-acre facility in Vista, California.
Today, the Ranch operates as an independent, nonprofit corporation, offering its services to area men and women who are serious about life recovery and restoration. In partnership with New Alternatives, Inc., the Ranch’s facilities also serve the emergency needs of abandoned, abused and neglected children.
Green Oak Ranch operates a year-around Camp, Conference and Retreat Center. Churches, youth groups, and others use our clean, comfortable cabins, meeting rooms, and food service for day-long and week-long events. The Retreat Center is the Ranch’s main revenue generating enterprise, and provides vocational, work therapy for the adults in our restoration community.
